Dad. . .

If you look closely, you can see that Dad is actually asleep in the tractor. He was waiting on Simon - they were spreading bedding for the cows.  He had mentioned how tired he had been feeling and that he would just take a little nap while he waited. Later that night, he showed Simon how swollen his leg had become.  After MUCH convincing, I finally took him to the ER. He was admitted with congestive heart failure due to atrial fibrillation; his heart rate was at 168 when we were registering in the ER. He quickly bypassed everyone else and was hooked up to an EKG machine within minutes. He was cardioverted  (Heart shocked back into rhythm) 3 days later. Almost immediately, his heart tried to convert out of rhythm so they added a potent anti-arrhythmia medication.  He was discharged from the hospital after 4 1/2 days; is slowly regaining his strength.  Now he has a lot of doctor appointments to keep...
