Welcomed 34 more today !

Dave stopped by on Friday and Saturday - and gave a helping hand.

Rest of sawdust in other side of loafing barn. Took picture last night ~ Ready for new arrivals today.

Looks like a serious discussion between Tad and Dad . . . as the cows are being milked.
Shawn moving lift out of other side of loafing barn ~ last minute preparation today just before the arrival !
Diana sweeping along the feed alley while Tad was out mixing up a batch just before the new arrivals .

Tad mixing in the rain . . .
Then delivering to the existing cows before putting food down on other side..  Was just finishing when the new girls arrived this afternoon around 2:45 pm.
Hannah anxiously awaiting the arrival.   The rain quit just in time too!
Cindy the dog and Hannah watch as Terry stands precariously on the ledge to help shove off the load of OSB that Dad had on the tractor.

Once again - the "fence" made out of vehicles, etc, lined up and ready for the cows. The truck won't go up the hill and delivers at the bottom.  So the cows have to climb the hill to the loafing barn. It's easier to make a quick "temporary fence" out of vehicles and such. . .
First group off the truck and headed up to loafing barn. Shawn keeping an eye on them on the right and Dad watching on the left.

More headed up to loafing barn.

Delivery complete and the truck is headed home now.
Checking out their new home.  A few immediately started to eat - through the headlocks. They had a long ride today ~ about 5 hours from PA.

More curious girls checking everything out. Within half an hour of arriving, all but 4 were lying down!  Happy to be in their new home and glad to have a rest after standing so long.  They did well tonight in the parlor too!
