The road crew is widening our road getting ready for chip n seal. The excess soil is being dumped on a huge stack of trees to strengthen the pad that was built for our construction site.

Found this cool picture of Levi installing the cat walk in the parlor.

Future Farmers of Our Dairy! Noah-5, Hannah-13 3/4, Zach-12, and Josh-8

So the winner of the special job called get in the water filled ditch and dig out the plastic drain tile so the water will drain = ME! (Dora)

Even with a smile! or maybe a grimace, not sure.

But this is a smile, showing Hannah how fun it is to play in the mud!

My helper, wonderful husband(Shawn), who couldn't stand to see me struggle with the weight of the clay any longer or watch me and laugh when my boot became stuck, really stuck, and came to my rescue. Aww, thanks honey!

Getting instructions from the boss, Dad.
See, here's the laughing part I mentioned earlier.

And here's me, finally free.

Dave and Van, from soil and water, came out Tuesday, May 28, to check soil samples to determine if wet land cells will work for our dairy runoff water. Also helping us fence in the creek that runs through the property so the cows don't contaminate the water.

One of the test holes dug, it passed inspection! On with the wet land cells.

Shawn getting the hang of the controls for the lift, me not so sure I'm ready for this!

Hang on!!!

Ground crew, includes Angie and Zach.

Shawn and Dora installing J channel for plastic with Josh's help.

Dad trying out the lift.

Measuring distance to center of ceiling, trying to get the most use of the plastic.

Watching Shawn cut the plastic.

Just about to the end of this wall.

Time to pose now, almost finished!

Dad making sure all's just right.

Bottom half of plastic complete in only 2 hours! Ceiling took 6 hours.
