Outside trusses set on loafing barn!!!!

Our Amish crew worked really hard today through the sun and humidity and sweat and oven hot heat. There were a few sunburns at quitting time today. Lots of work done though! All outside trusses set and one side of purlins is done. Our regular crew started around 7:30 and that included Merle, Levi, Sam, Melvin and their two drivers Scott and Jamey. A little after 9, Merle's brother and his crew of 5 arrived and the hammers really started smoking then! Here is upper side set.

So this is an Amish barn raising English style. :) at least that's what this picture brings to mind. 

I took out pop ices twice so hopefully no one would overheat. Once at 10 and again at 2. This is the 2pm break. 

Thanks guys, another great day!! Best part was: they all stayed safe.
